Stickers Packaging

If you purchase car vinyl sticker for vehicles decoration or for promotional purposes, or as giveaway gifts with sold products, their packaging requirements are usually not very stringent. We follow a standard packaging procedure, bundling every 200 car stickers together using shrink wrap or OPP plastic bags. This method of packaging not only effectively protects the stickers, ensuring their safety during transportation but also facilitates the counting, storage, and dispensing of the stickers for use.

If your customized car stickers are branded products intended for retail in supermarkets or malls, each design or set of decals will need to be individually packaged in OPP plastic bags. Inside each OPP bag, we will include a card or header card printed with sales information, featuring a barcode for easy scanning and processing at the point of sale. This packaging method not only provides additional protection for the products, preventing damage during transit and display but also facilitates customer recognition of product information and swift checkout, thereby enhancing the efficiency of the sales process.

If your brand car stickers are about to launch as trending styles or are the latest best-selling products, and have already achieved significant sales on online platforms, but you prefer not to repackage them, then you can opt for an envelope-like packaging method. Pack the vinyl car stickers custom directly into envelope bags, allowing you to ship the products directly to the end consumers. This packaging approach can significantly save your time and also facilitates easier inventory management and transportation. This direct-to-consumer shipping method not only simplifies the sales process but also enhances customer experience, enabling consumers to receive their desired products more swiftly.

If your vinyl decal car sticker come with special accessories, such as suction cups or 3D hooks, these types of three-dimensional car stickers cannot be packaged using conventional methods, as that could damage the products. For such cases, it is necessary to customize blister packaging that fits the specific shape and size of the product to ensure it is fully protected during transportation and storage, preventing any compression or deformation. This packaging method not only safeguards the products but also enhances their display appeal, allowing them to be hung on racks in supermarkets or stores for sale. It serves multiple purposes, facilitating consumer selection while also enhancing the product’s competitiveness in the market.

What is the best material for outdoor car stickers?
Cost aside, 3M Cast Vinyl is one of the best materials for outdoor vehicle decals because it offers exceptional water resistance, UV protection, weather resistance, durability, and flexibility, making it easy to install on any part of the vehicle. It supports any color, size, and shape, and is compatible with various printing methods: digital printing or screen printing. For digital printing, the surface must be laminated with a 3M UV-protective film to ensure colors do not scratch off or fade. When combined with screen printing, this material can maintain a service life of 5–7 years in outdoor environments.
If cost is a consideration, standard calendered vinyl is one of the best materials for outdoor vehicle decals. It also offers good water resistance, UV protection, and weather resistance, and supports any color, shape, and printing method. However, it is not suitable for use in extremely low or high temperatures, and its water resistance and UV protection last approximately 2–5 years.
What is the difference between PVC and PET car stickers?
PVC: This material is highly flexible, and both its front and back surfaces can be treated in various ways. In addition to the common white and transparent options, it can be produced in different colors and with various surface finishes, such as holographic car decal material, metallic silver car decal material, carbon fiber film, and air bubble free material. Furthermore, it offers excellent value for money and is commonly used for outdoor decals, car decals, warning stickers, floor decals, and promotional stickers.
PET: This material has low flexibility but remains stable regardless of temperature or weather conditions. It is highly stable, resistant to both high and low temperatures, and offers strong resistance to chemical corrosion. Consequently, PET is used for high-end flat labels but is not suitable for surfaces with any curvature.
Are vinyl car stickers waterproof?
Vinyl is a premium-grade decal material manufactured from a blend of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) film, plasticizers, and various additives. It has waterproof properties, inkjet printing or screen printing with lamination .This makes the resulting vehicle decal fully capable of withstanding humid environments, exposure to rain and snow, and the rigors of routine car washing.
Which sticker material lasts longest on vehicles?
Vehicle decals made from cast-grade vinyl offer the longest outdoor lifespan. Compared to standard calendered-grade vinyl, they are more water-resistant, UV-resistant, and weather-resistant, with a temperature range of -20°C to 80°C, whereas calendered-grade vinyl is only suitable for temperatures between 5°C and 60°C. In addition, they adhere better to curved surfaces. Therefore, they are the best choice for long-term brand promotion
Can you print reflective car decals?
Of course, we can use reflective materials to print various patterns and text, die-cut shapes, or directly engrave the reflective vehicle decals you need. Reflective materials are inherently vibrant in color, making them highly eye-catching during the day. At night, they reflect light, not only improving nighttime visibility but also offering exceptional durability in outdoor environments. As a result, it is commonly used for safety warning signs, fleet vehicle identification, warning graphics, or vehicle branding decals.
What is the best material for racing car decals?
Racing decals are typically full-car wraps covering large areas. They must conform to the vehicle’s various curved surfaces and maintain exceptional adhesion in high-speed outdoor environments. For this reason, removable cast-grade vinyl is the optimal choice. Since race cars are frequently involved in collisions, it is best to apply a UV-resistant film over the decals to enhance abrasion resistance and weather resistance.
Are your car stickers UV resistant?
Yes, in addition to using outdoor vinyl, reflective, PC, PET, and metallic materials for our car decals, we print with waterproof and UV-resistant inks. We support any CMYK colors, PANTONE spot colors, and special colors. These colors are resistant to sun and rain, ensuring they will not fade for 3–5 years, and the materials will not crack or deteriorate even in harsh environments.
Can car stickers withstand car washing?
Of course. Liyantian’s car decals are typically screen-printed with a thick layer of ink and finished with a glossy laminate, making them fully capable of withstanding the rigors of regular car washes. Decals with this laminate offer superior water resistance, abrasion resistance, and long-term durability. However, the laminate used is not a standard indoor film, but a specialized outdoor glossy film.
Do your car stickers fade in sunlight?
All of our outdoor vehicle decals are made using high-quality outdoor materials and inks, so they won’t fade immediately from prolonged exposure to sunlight. Depending on the materials used and the environment, our decals can last 3 to 7 years outdoors.
What is the lifespan of outdoor car decals?
The lifespan of outdoor vehicle decals depends on the material, ink, laminate, and the environment in which they are used. Calendered vinyl or advertising-grade reflective materials are waterproof and UV-resistant for 3–5 years, while cast vinyl decals, which are screen-printed and coated with a UV-resistant laminate, can last 5–7 years in outdoor environments.
How to apply car decals:
There are two ways to apply car decals: one uses adhesive, and the other does not.
Types of Adhesives:
In addition to the material and print quality, the quality of the adhesive is crucial to the performance of vehicle decals. Different surfaces and decal applications require different adhesives, which vary in terms of removability and durability.
- Permanent Adhesive: A strong adhesive designed for long-term outdoor use. It is waterproof, UV-resistant, and withstands temperature and weather conditions. It is commonly used for car decals, brand logos, equipment labels, outdoor signage, safety stickers, and more. Its shortcoming is that it leaves residue when removed.
- Removable Adhesive: An adhesive designed for temporary or short-term applications. It can be easily removed without leaving residue within its intended lifespan. Both installation and removal are simple, making it suitable for temporary promotional campaigns, short-term sales promotions, seasonal decorations, and window displays.
Types of Adhesive-Free Stickers:
Not all car stickers are installed using traditional adhesives; they can also be applied using static cling, suction cups, or magnets.
- Static Cling: Adheres to smooth surfaces using the material’s static charge, without any adhesive. Application and removal are simple, leaving no residue and allowing for reuse. Suitable only for smooth glass, mirrors, and acrylic. Commonly used for: car window decals and seasonal promotions. Choose thicker static cling materials whenever possible for stronger adhesion.
- Soft Magnets: These adhere to steel or magnetic surfaces via magnetic attraction. They require no adhesive, are easy to install and remove, and are reusable. The shortcoming is that they are only suitable for steel or magnetic surfaces. Common applications include: temporary advertisements, company vehicles, and delivery fleets. They need to be removed periodically for cleaning to prevent dust buildup.
- Suction Cups: These adhere to smooth glass surfaces using vacuum suction. They contain no adhesive, making application and removal simple. They leave no residue and are reusable. The shortcoming is that they have strict requirements for the suction cup itself, and the surface must be smooth. Common applications include: “Baby on Board” stickers. Suction cups are only suitable for interior car windows or short-term outdoor use.
Are your car stickers removable?
Yes, our vehicle decals are removable and come in four types: removable adhesive, static cling, suction cup, and magnetic. These removable stickers are primarily used for temporary promotions, vehicle advertising, or short-term event promotions. We also offer permanent vehicle decals for long-term outdoor branding and signage applications.
Will the sticker damage car paint?
No, as long as you use the proper method to apply or remove the decals from the original factory paintwork, it usually won’t damage the paint. If you’re using them temporarily or for a short period, you can choose materials with removable adhesive and follow the removal instructions carefully to avoid damaging the paintwork due to improper handling.
What adhesive options do you offer for vehicle decals?
Liyantian offers a variety of adhesive-backed sticker materials for you to choose from based on your preferences:
- Permanent adhesive: Suitable for long-term outdoor use
- Removable adhesive: Suitable for temporary promotional events
- High-tack adhesive: Suitable for textured surfaces or materials with low surface energy
- Static cling: Suitable for glass surfaces; no adhesive required
- Suction cup: Suitable for glass surfaces and smooth tiles; no adhesive required
- Magnetic: Suitable only for steel or magnetic surfaces; no adhesive required

| Static Cling | Low-Medium | Yes | Yes | Glass |
| Magnetic | High | Yes | Yes | Steel only |
| Suction Cup | Medium | Yes | Yes | Glass |
We will recommend the most suitable adhesive type based on your application area, usage environment, and durability requirements.
Can I remove the sticker without residue?
Yes, removable adhesive stickers will not leave any residue when removed within the warranty period. In addition, static cling stickers, suction cup stickers, and magnetic stickers do not contain adhesive and can be removed without leaving any residue. However, if the removable adhesive has expired, has been exposed to harsh conditions, or is handled improperly, some residue may remain.
What is the difference between permanent and removable adhesive?
- Permanent Adhesive: A high-tack adhesive designed for long-term outdoor use. It is waterproof and UV-resistant, non-removable, difficult to peel off, and leaves residue. Ideal for outdoor vehicle decals, logo stickers, and safety warning stickers.
- Removable Adhesive: A medium-tack adhesive designed for temporary or short-term use. It is water- and UV-resistant, removable, and easy to peel off without leaving residue. Therefore, it is suitable for temporary advertisements, promotional campaigns, and seasonal decorative stickers.
Are repositionable adhesives available?
Yes, it’s also known as “bubble-free adhesive.” This adhesive is applied to the back of textured vinyl and works by forcing any air bubbles created during application out through the texture, improving efficiency on large surfaces and preventing bubbles from forming. The adhesive is removable and reusable, making it ideal for large-scale full-body wraps, window decals, glass decals, and more.

In addition to selecting the right materials and adhesives, the quality of the print file is also a key factor in determining the quality of the car decal. It is best to use vector graphics for car decal files; if that is not possible, high-resolution raster images are acceptable, but raster formats are not suitable for small text. Because screen printing produces relatively coarse dots, small text printed using CMYK registration results in rough edges with visible dot patterns. This causes the small text to appear smudged. Therefore, even if you are using a high-resolution image format, it is best to use vector graphics for small text.
What file formats do you accept for custom car stickers?
We accept a variety of file formats to accommodate your printing needs:
- PDF(Vector PDF)
- AI(Adobe Illustrator)
- EPS
- CDR (CorelDRAW)
- PSD (Adobe Photoshop)
- JPG or PNG(High-resolution, at least 300 dpi)
If possible, we strongly recommend using vector files, as they are relatively simple and convenient to process during prepress and can produce clear, high-quality vehicle decals with precise die-cutting results.
What artwork resolution is required?
Vector files are inherently high-resolution, but here we are primarily discussing bitmap files, such as JPG, PNG, PSD, and other formats. These files must meet the resolution requirements for actual print size, with a minimum of 300 DPI. Printing uses the CMYK color mode, not RGB. Low-resolution images may result in blurry or jagged (pixelated) print output.
Do I need to convert fonts to outlines?
Yes, because font settings vary across different countries and computers, and the fonts required for design differ as well. To avoid font compatibility issues, we recommend converting the text in your design file to outlines (curves) first.
If the text is not converted to outlines, opening the file will result in a font error message, and the text will be replaced with other fonts available on the computer. If this happens, the client’s original design will appear altered. Therefore, please ensure the design file is converted to outlines before sending it to us.
If you are unsure how to convert text to outlines, you may also provide us with the fonts used in the design file. We will install them on our computer, ensuring the fonts remain unchanged when the file is opened.
Should I include bleed in my design?
Yes, bleed must be added. If the file is a vector file, it is not necessary to add bleed because we can add it for you. However, if the file is a bitmap (image format), bleed must be added. Since images are fixed in size and cannot be enlarged without distorting the design, bleed is required for bitmap files.
- The bleed area for small stickers is 3 mm.
- The bleed area for large vehicle decals is 3–5 mm.
A proper bleed area ensures precise die-cutting and prevents white edges from appearing.
What color mode should be used?
When printing car decals, the CMYK color mode is used first and foremost because the printed result matches the actual file. RGB is a color mode used for on-screen display; it generally appears much more vivid than the actual colors and does not match the printed result, so CMYK is required for printing.
If you have specific requirements for color accuracy, we recommend providing a PANTONE color code so we can print using spot colors.
Can you help create artwork for car stickers?
Sure, we can help you with some simple designs, but for brand design or more complex projects, our design capabilities may not fully meet your needs. However, you can always hire a professional designer to handle those tasks for you.
Our design team can also provide the following assistance:
- Design revisions
- Vector format conversion
- Layout optimization
- Color matching
- Pre-press file preparation
Can I receive a proof before mass production?
Of course. Before going to press, we will adjust the files according to your design and provide you with a digital proof for your approval.
The digital proof includes the design content, colors, and dimensions, and must also meet printing requirements—such as whether there is a bleed area, if the font size is too small, if the image resolution is sufficient, and if spot colors are properly registered.
Providing digital proof helps prevent errors between the client and the printing company, making it the best way to reduce production costs.
In addition, we can provide digital proofs or physical samples. While this may incur some costs, producing a physical sample is the best option if your budget allows.
When you need to order custom stickers, the first thing you need to know is the specifications and pricing:

The first is the customer’s original artwork, and the second is the die-cutting improvement proposal we provided to the customer. Proofs were provided for both options for the customer’s approval, and the customer selected the second option for contour die-cutting. The customer had previously only used straight-line die-cutting without contour cutting, which resulted in two issues:
- The contour appearance was unsatisfactory
- Large areas of transparent blank space were prone to air bubbles during application.

The client’s source file shows black lines on the green bar, but the client’s sample is only green, and the colors differ significantly. After receiving the client’s file, we found that the black lines were only 0.08 mm wide, while the thinnest line in screen printing is 0.15 mm. Therefore, we thickened the black lines slightly so that the printed result would closely match the original design.
Additionally, we converted the rectangles in the client’s source file into irregular shapes that follow the outer contours. This refers to half-through die-cutting; full-through die-cutting remains unchanged.

A customer had a sample made by another company; after being applied to a window for less than three months, the red and yellow colors had completely faded to white, and the light green had gradually faded to blue, leaving only black and blue. However, Liyantian’s window decals are waterproof and UV-resistant, and they won’t start to fade until 3–5 years have passed.
