What File Formats Do I Need to Submit for Custom Healthcare Label Printing?
The text and barcodes on healthcare labels are usually very small. AI, PDF, and EPS work best here. These three are vector formats and will not become blurry when enlarged.
If you submit bitmap formats such as JPG or PNG, the edges will be blurred after magnification. It will directly affect printing quality and barcode scan success rates.

UDI consists of two parts: the device identifier (DI) and the production identifier (PI). DI indicates the specific product, including brand, model, and specification. The DI of the same model product is fixed.
The PI indicates the specific production information for each batch, including batch number, production date, expiration date, and serial number. Each batch of products has a different PI.
On the healthcare label itself, UDI shows up as human-readable text and a machine-scannable barcode. The barcode format is typically GS1-128 or DataMatrix.
